The fossil record of the humanoid sphenoid bone, tells us that each time that bone changes its shape, a new humanoid species emerges. It has been clearly observed that it is now changing shape, and therefore the current human species is entering into a new phase of existence. The question arises, can technology provide a peaceful transition into the more advanced world of our children&#8217;s children? The answer is a scientific yes, but it will require a new technological understanding of ethics, which at present is not part of our technological culture. This essay provides the solution to that problem, which has begun to be understood through an understanding of a new life-science chemistry.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A factual classification of the present human species, within the realms of modern technology is required. The term Homo Entropicus is the correct terminology. Modern science, technology, politics and economics are totally governed by the second law of thermodynamics, or the law of universal entropy, known also as the law of universal chaos. Einstein&#8217;s understanding of that law, which he named the Premier law of all science, does indeed define an aspect of reality, but not all of it.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The new life-science chemistry has been well and truly discovered, and it clearly explains that the entropic energies of the universe are being balanced by the evolution of consciousness. This is precisely the reality that the Nobel Laureate in Medicine, Szent Gyorgyi insisted upon. Nano-technology has confirmed that this evolutionary function is acting within the DNA, in defiance of our obsolete understanding of the decay energies of universal entropy.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">It is all about rockets. What everyone knows about them? On Earth motion is based on pushing from the medium, wherever the motion takes places: cars pushing from pavement by wheels, swimmers pushing from water by limbs, etc. Rockets fly in space and space is mostly a vacuum, it is empty. Rockets move in space using reactive principle, i.e. exhausting hot gases (backward) and pushing away from exhaust in opposite direction (forward). Rockets have to carry all their fuel and burning agent on board, because there is nothing in space that can be used for burning fuel (like air for burning gasoline in automobiles on earth).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Rockets cargo space is very expensive. Why? Because with so many elements on board: fuel, oxidizer, cryogenics, tanks, lines, you name it, there is a small (and very expensive room) for the payload. If we could only find a way to separate the heavy energy source from the rocket, the gain in efficiency of such rocket will be tremendous.<br />

This can be done if instead of carrying energy source on board, we will beam that energy from a remote power station. What kind of beam it can be? Laser beam, microwave beam, even x-ray, in all cases energy will be delivered to the rocket with speed of light. When a great number of photons is focused (even loosely) on a solid matter, such matter is evaporated and ionized almost instantaneously, i.e. the release of energy is much higher than one used from burning hydrogen. So, laser-driven vehicle will be still flying on the same rocket principle (pushing away from its exhaust), but exhaust energy and structural lightness will be incomparably superior to hydrogen-burning rockets.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Beam-driven rocket is equipped with beam- collecting optics (i.e. mirrors) and some relatively lightweight solid fuel. That is it: no more tanks, oxidizer, cryogenics, nozzles, lines, &#8211; the rest will be cargo. Such rocket will be a subject of 4P Principle, formulated by the founder of laser propulsion, Arthur Kantrowitz: Payload, Propellants and Photons, Period!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">How much beamed energy is more efficient than traditional hydrogen burning? About hundred times! Currently, for reasons disclosed above we are paying $10,000 per pound of payload delivered from ground to low earth orbit only. If space launches will be done with high-power lasers, the price per pound of payload will fall to $100! This is 100-fold gain!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In addition to laser beams, other types of energy transfers using microwave, x-ray and even particle beams are getting explored for BEP. The number of in-lab demonstrations of BEP principles grows every year, and the day when we will achieve in-space BEP demonstration becomes inevitable. Of course, there are still a plenty of scientific and engineering problems which should be solved before BEP will bring us its benefits. However, the days for first practical use of beamed-energy propulsion are near.</p>

For example, CPV Today, an initiative created to generalize this scheme, envisaged that the third generation of new cells reach an efficiency of 50% by 2015, thus helping to decrease its cost by 62%.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">When the market these plates, but can be used individually as conventional photovoltaic systems, with a power of a few kilowatts (KW), its promoters believe that today the main economic output is the use on an industrial scale. <p style="text-align: justify;">For his part, as those responsible for the ISFOC, there are several plants that are already operating in Spain are connected to the network with a total power of 15 MW. These plants are tested in the various technologies available, with a concentration based on both silicon cells and in cells with high efficiency. For example, the Photon Guascor, with financial support from the Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDEA), put up the first commercial installation of its kind in Europe.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Outside of Spain, but with Spanish participation, the project NACIR is another interesting initiative in the field of CPV. Its aim is to use this technology in the countries of North Africa, with unbeatable position to take advantage of sunlight. The project, launched this year, is scheduled to run for four years and has a budget of over seven million euros, partly financed by the European Commission. Among its main challenges highlighted in the installation of a system of Morocco SVC connected to the mains, an autonomous system of water pumping and irrigation in Egypt and the creation of a database to increase efficiency and reduce costs.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The project also NACIR emerges through the collaborative efforts of three bands: university-industry-institution, as part of the Solar Energy Institute of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the ISFOC, Fraunhoffer Institute for Solar Energy in Germany, companies Concentrix Solar (Germany) and Isofoton (Spain), the Moroccan National Electricity (ONE) and the Ministry of Water Resources of Egypt. Besides NACIR, ISFOC makers explained that they expect to realize over 2009 various collaborative projects in the Middle East, Asia and U.S.<br />
Disadvantages of concentration photovoltaics</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The drivers of the CPV today recognize that this technology is still in a pre-condition. <p style="text-align: justify;">A recent report has come out that the Chinese are building what was thought to be an impossible space drive, one that might not only open up the possibilities of much more extensive space exploration but which could also transform any type of travel and if achieved. While other scientists are downplaying this announcement as unlikely, while possibly seeking to duplicate their efforts, if this discovery turns out to be accurate, it may provide the Chinese with advantages over other countries if their engine and this new space drive cannot be matched by the U.S.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This EMdrive or electromagnetic relativity drive is thought by other scientists to violate the law of conservation of momentum and has been branded as just another perpetual motion devices that have been disproved time and time again.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">However, the researcher behind the Emdrive states that his engine is not a perpetual motion machine and that rather than being at odds with Einstein, relies upon Einstein&#8217;s theories being correct.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Another scientist working on the Chinese project has experience with microwave plasma thrusters and it is reported that the engineering principles of building the two engines are similar.<br />

Whether or not this new technology will be proved feasible or not, eventually technologies will be developed that either achieve extended travel with little or no energy usage. While one can certainly see the possibilities for long-range space travel and use of such technology by satellites, they also present hope for the future in daily travel on freeways with a reduction in pollution.</p>
